General Manager
5 years now. I started at 9th Avenue in April 2015.
One could almost compare it to a theatre production. The hours of preparation, practice, the frantic and sometimes unrehearsed, the drama that happens backstage. Sometimes having to improvise. No two performances are the same. The appreciation and smiles on from you ‘audiences’ is priceless, knowing that you had a hand in make their day just that much more memorable.
China town, Sydney, Australia. That’s the day I fell in love with street food. From Octopus on a stick , bbq eel, roasted frog legs to Chinese toffee apple. Definitely a nostalgic foodie moment.
Back in 2004 a year after I matriculated, I began studying Hospitality and Hotel Management at Varsity College, and working part time at Westville Country Club.
The Fat Duck by Heston Blumenthal. Definitely on the top of my ‘Restaurants To Visit Bucket list’.
